THE AWARD,
THAT STARTED IT ALL
Interestingly, winning an award is right at the very beginning of our corporate history. In 1978, the then 31-year-old master toolmaker Wiestaw Kramski wrote a business plan and submitted his concept to the start-up competition “Machen Sie sich selbständig!” (“Become independent!”) of the magazine “Capital”. He wins first prize, finances the first machine with the 30,000 DM reward, and the success story takes its course.
