Charitable projects

For us as a family business, it is a self-evident part of our responsibility to stand up for our fellow human beings and to help wherever help is needed. We therefore wholeheartedly support numerous charitable projects at both our local sites as well as around the world.

GERMANY

Pforzheimer Stadtmission e.V.

The PSM has been a part of Pforzheim for over 125 years and is a free ministry in the Baden Regional Church. It is a place to go for families and people of all ages to strengthen their community and faith.

Hospiz Pforzheim & Enzkreis

The organisation strives to provide care for the terminally ill with great concern and respect. The team is also dedicated to the family members of patients and provides grief counselling and emotional support on their shared journey.

Deutscher Naturheilbund e.V.

The association with its regional headquarters in Bauschlott has been working for the dissemination and recognition of naturopathic knowledge for over 130 years – independently, voluntarily and non-profitably.

Sri Lanka

Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI)

The CGTTI is the leading institute in Sri Lanka for the vocational training of skilled workers in the field of automotive engineering and other related professions. Since its inception, we have supported the CGTTI by, for example, refurbishing classrooms and providing various equipment such as tools, measuring devices and machines for practical training. We also maintain a donation fund for the institute to support students in need of financial assistance.

Industrial Engineering Training Institute (IETI)

The IETI is a government-run vocational training institute that offers various training opportunities and certifications on a national level. We supported the institute in the procurement of much needed tools and equipment

Department of Technical Education and Training (DTET)

The DTET provides students with vocational skills in tool, machine and automotive mechanics. We have donated various equipment and training materials for the students.

SPONSORSHIP FOR THE ANANDAPURA FARM

Offering a home to about 45 adults with various disabilities, Anandapura Farm provides much-needed care for its residents. For many years now, we have been supporting the facility, which is located 15 km from the company premises in Katana, with water management and washing facilities, among other things. We visit the members regularly and support them with household goods and dry rations.

India

Primary Health Centre, Poigai

Doctors and dedicated staff attend pregnant women and sick people in more than 30,000 urban as well as rural public facility sites. They do valuable work in combating endemic diseases, raising awareness about the importance of prevention, health and hygiene, and perform minor surgeries. As a part of the local support, we have provided medical equipment, furniture, a water treatment plant, a washing machine and much more.

Nirmala Shishu Bhavan, Vellore

Founded in Calcutta in 1950 and now established with more than 760 centres worldwide, the orphanage cares for physically disabled and mentally impaired children and young people who have been abandoned by their families. Many are dependent on wheelchairs – some of them have been donated by us to the facility in Vellore.

St. Jude India Childcare Centre, Vellore

At the St. Jude Children’s Centre in Vellore, children with cancer receive free holistic care including food, shelter, transport to and from the hospital, value-oriented education and leisure activities, as well as counselling and financial support. We have supported the non-profit organisation in the purchase of a refrigerator for the storage of medication for the patients.

Sri Saibaba Gurukulam, Vellore

The Gurukulam, with its 5 teachers, provides schooling for children up to fifth grade, as well as a healthy lunch within the curriculum. Some former students now work in international companies holding high positions. We have donated school bags, water bottles, notebooks, pens and other stationery.

WORTH Trust, Vellore

Founded in 1963 as a modern technical workshop for leprosy patients, WORTH Trust is now a rehabilitation facility that supplies quality products to large-scale industry while producing affordable assistive aids and devices for people with disabilities. We are proud to be part of an organisation that provides hands-on training with our regular contributions in kind and money.

USA

“CANNED FOOD DRIVE” FUNDRAISER

KRAMSKI North America employees supported the church’s local volunteer agency with a large-scale food fund-raising campaign during Christmas time. Their mission includes feeding the hungry, helping homeless families to regain self-sufficiency and empowering victims of domestic violence.
