The wvib is the largest network of entrepreneurs in southwest Germany. The wvib team advises its members on all matters of everyday business life, organises a broad exchange of experience at specialist and management level, runs an SME academy, organises trade fairs and business trips and connects the companies to form a “learning community” from which we, like all members, benefit greatly.
CLUSTER-INITIATIVE HOCHFORM
Together with other well-known and future-oriented companies in the metalworking Precision Engineering sector, we are involved in the HOCHFORM initiative. They are all united by the goal of jointly promoting, developing and utilising competences and boosting competitiveness. In addition, the HOCHFORM cluster initiative aims to reposition and raise the profile of the Pforzheim/Northern Black Forest economic region as an innovative and up-and-coming centre for ultra-modern and precise metalworking and processing.

INNONET ENTREPRENEURIAL NETWORK
We are a member of INNONET. More than 50 companies are members of the network, covering almost the entire value chain in the plastics sector. From mould, tool making, and injection moulding machine construction to a wide range of plastics processing and a number of downstream processes such as printing, laser processing, measuring and testing. The network’s plastics expertise is also rounded off by the membership of universities and research institutions.

Since our foundation, the Chamber of Crafts Karlsruhe and Pforzheim has accompanied us in all questions of basic and further education as well as on relevant topics concerning our tool shop. The Chamber of Crafts has also awarded us several times for the special quality of our training.

As an education and project provider for the business community and employers in the state of Baden-Württemberg, BBQ provides support in the operational challenges of demographic change and the securing of skilled labour, and offers individual assistance in career orientation. For example, as part of the ” Career Choice Compass Metal” (“Berufswahlkompass Metall”, BMW) project, pupils in the final and pre-final classes at secondary schools learn about our technical apprenticeship occupations in order to create a better basis for their career choice.
EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS IN PFORZHEIM
We maintain close partnerships in education with a number of schools. The aim is to strengthen the knowledge of work in the technical field among both students and teachers. The pupils gain a qualitative insight into our company and teachers learn first-hand about the requirements of the business world, which enables them to provide more targeted support to their students. In addition, we offer orientation evenings for parents. Our partner schools are Ludwig-Uhland Schule, Osterfeld Realschule, Heinrich-Wieland Schule and Schiller Gymnasium.

With its focus on research, innovation and academia, the ZPT offers an industry-oriented approach to increasing innovative capacity and further technological transfer. This creates a platform for the Precision Engineering industry in Pforzheim, the Enzkreis and the entire northern Black Forest for a direct collaborative relationship between companies and the university.
